Coach Merron Gordon believes star striker Craig Foster has settled in at Humble Lion, returning to his prolific goalscoring ways by netting twice in their last three games.

Foster made a shock move from Reno during last month's transfer window after spending eight seasons at the Westmoreland outfit.

In addition to helping Reno stave off relegation last season, Foster scored 10 goals before moving to Clarendon, but got off to a slow start at Humble Lion. He came under pressure from supporters after not scoring in his first four games.

However, with two strikes in three games, Foster has picked up steam, moving to 12 goals, three behind the league's leading marksman Fabian Reid of Arnett Gardens, who is two ahead of Portmore's Javon East.

"The pressure wasn't from us. He is getting better. I think he is realising that he is part of the puzzle and not the whole puzzle. We play to a system, and, little by little, he is adapting and making Humble Lion his home," said Gordon.

"The fans are behind him now. He got an easy chance against Reno (last Thursday), but we are now looking forward to Arnett Gardens on Thursday. We are building and hoping that we can go to Arnett and get all three points there," he added.

"We have done well in the last three games, but missed some simple chances against Reno. Our ambition is to still win the league. We are on a roller coaster ride, just need to settle quickly and push on from here We are also building for the future so, hopefully, next season, we can be very dominant," Gordon pointed out.

Humble Lion are in 10th position on 29 points but only three adrift sixth-place University of the West Indies, who are on 32 points.

The Clarendon outfit next play away to reigning champions Arnett Gardens, who are second in the standings on 44 points. In two meetings this season, the teams drew 1-1 at Effortville and the Tony Spaulding Sports Complex, respectively.
