I have had such a rough life

June 17, 2016

Dear Pastor

I am in my early 20s. I have been exposed to a lot of things from a tender age. I live with my mother. However, she treats me like am the worst. She loves my brothers more.

I remember having low blood pressure when I was 13. I had to get up early in the morning and look after my younger siblings before I went to school.

My mother loved her man more than me. Whenever he comes to the house, she tells him indecent language. My father, is always telling me about other people to put me down, embarrassing me in front of people.

I can go on forever because this is not even the half of it. Despite what I have been through I always keep my head up. I have a good reputation. I would love to go back to school someday. I work but I do not earn enough to school myself.

Dear T.H.,

I recognise you come from a dysfunctional home and believe your mother loves your brother much more than you.

I am glad you are working. I want you to learn to give God thanks for helping you to have a job.

If you change your attitude towards your mother, and everybody, life would be much better for you.

If you are serious about getting an education, you should approach the Student Loan Bureau. They would give you all the information you need.

You are not to look at the difficulties that are facing you at the moment.

One of these days, your mother and father will be proud of you. It is going to happen but it must begin with you.
