My parents are too protective

Dear Pastor,

Greetings to you! I miss my boyfriend in Portland. One mind is telling me to cheat on him, but another is telling me not to do so.

I can't believe I'm 18 and still can't go certain places because my parents won't let me, even as I am working. Pastor, please I need your advice

D.A.,

Your parents are not aware that they are not helping you by preventing you from going out whenever you wish to do so.

Although they believe that they are protecting you, you are able to have sex from time to time.

Right now, your big problem is that you believe that you are not getting enough sex, so you are tempted to cheat. Cheating is not a wise thing for you to engage yourself in.

So perish that thought.

Your parents are overprotective and you know that you can beat them to it. Anything you want to do, you can do.

So what I would encourage you to do is to reason with your parents when you want to go out and assure them that you are old enough to protect yourself.
