My man has too many women

April 30, 2018

Dear Pastor,

I am 40 years old. I have had one serious boyfriend all my life. He knows that I am a hard worker. I don't depend on him for anything. He has a good job, but his main problem is women. He has too many of them and I have talked to him about that, but he has not changed. He doesn't drink or smoke or gamble. His only problem is women.

This man helped me through university. I did not have to take student loan. While I was in university, he had his girls and I talked to him about them. He told me that I didn't have any time for him and he has to have sex, so he would stop when I graduated. When I graduated, he changed his story and told me he could not drop the girls like that. So, to this day, he is continuing. Every guy that came my way and was interested in me, I told them no because I have a man.

I feel like an old maid now, but he is so jealous. He is on to me like a tick. I don't know how to get away from him. Sometimes I think I would like to just tell him to go, but I have tried that before and it didn't work. He is comfortable with me. I love him, but I don't like his lifestyle.

Dear Anonymous,

You said that you are 40 years old and this man and you have been together for many years. He has treated you well. Evidently, you love him dearly. He has spent a lot of money on you. You believed that this man would have changed, but he hasn't.

I don't think he has any intention to change. He loves his girls, but on the other hand, I don't think he sees you as just one of his girls. I believe that you are number one in his life, but he is not ready to settle down. He does not want you to leave him and if you were to leave him, he would come back to you begging, and he knows that you will take him right back into your arms.

The only thing I can do for you is to pray for you and to make sure you carve out your own future. Buy your own home and do everything as if this man is not in your life at all.
