My wife left me with only a bed

Dear Pastor,

I am having a big problem. I have been married for four years. I became ill in December of last year and I noticed that my wife's attitude has changed towards me. We had a disagreement and three weeks ago, she packed up everything and left only a bed and my clothes. It is taking a toll on me because I love my wife very much. I don't know what to do. You officiated at our wedding.

Dear M.

I am very sorry to hear that you have not been well and that your wife has left the matrimonial home and have taken everything. I am glad that she left a bed so that you wouldn't have to sleep on the floor. I am sure that what has happened has indeed been affecting you.

Your wife moved very fast. Both of you should have sought counselling, but even now I hope that it is not too late. I hope your health has improved. Go to church, my friend. Pray every day and read your Bible, and ask your wife whether she will be willing to see a family counsellor. I hope she would agree to at least go for counselling. If not, try your very best to keep calm. God is able to bless you, to heal you and to meet your needs. I stand ready to help you. Let me hear from you again.
