My husband says that I speak nonsense
Dear Pastor,
I am a 38-year-old woman. I was 36 when I got married. My husband is 60 years old and this is his second marriage.
He does not talk very much and I like to talk. Sometimes when we are in bed, I try to communicate with him, but he says that I talk too much. This man will go all day without saying a word to me. Although I was not married, I had boyfriends and one of them used to call me three or four times per day. He liked politics, so everything he heard that was happening in the party he did not support, he called me and talked with me about it. We supported different parties, but at least we laughed and talked.
This man I married talks to me when he wants to have sex with me and when he wants to know whether I paid the bills. Sometimes I ask him what he wants to eat and he does not tell me. I could give him fish every day and he would not complain. I like to see my husband dress well when we are going to church and people always comment on how handsome he looks. When they say that to him and I am nearby, he says “My wife fixes me up”, or “My wife bought this or that.” I have two daughters and he loves them very much. When they visit, he takes a lot of time talking to them. I asked him one day how come he doesn’t talk much to me when we are alone, but he talks to my two daughters. The man told me one day that “The girls talk sense, but you don’t talk sense.” I felt so hurt because the man was calling me an idiot.
He is a hard worker who takes good care of the home. He is not against my people for visiting me. He has some very strange ways. He may hug and kiss me all night but not insert his penis in me. All the other guys I had in my life were eager to get between my legs; not this man. Many times I have to take over and go on him and please myself. He never says a word. But when he is satisfied, I know by his expression.
H.
Dear H.,
You should be glad that you have a man who takes care of you and makes sure that the bills are paid.
You are very fortunate that this man loves your children and they can come anytime to see you and that he takes time to talk to them. When the man says that you talk foolishness, he is not insulting you, he is trying to tell you that he is tired of the things you talk about. You should make sure that you take care of this man. You should have known that he was not a big talker when you became friends.
At least this man is able to hug you and kiss you. Make sure you remain loyal to him. If you continue to love him, you will not have to fret about anything. Many women your age are trying to find men who are 60 and older.
Pastor
