Weird News: Woman sells dry dog food as heroin
A woman has been arrested for allegedly passing off dry dog food as heroin.
Megan Meyer has been accused of crushing up the dog food and selling it as the illegal drug and controlled painkiller Percocet, the Metro newspaper reports.
If convicted, she could face six years in prison as she is currently on bail for forgery charges.
Women who have children in their 30s give birth to "healthier" babies.
A study, published in the journal Biodemography and Social Biology, found that babies born to mothers in their 30s had the top cognitive scores, while children born to mothers in their 40s were more likely to be obese, the Metro newspaper reports.
Dr Alice Goisis said: "First-time mothers in their 30s are, for example, likely to be more educated, have higher income, and more likely to be in stable relationships, have healthier lifestyles, seek prenatal care earlier and have planned their pregnancies."
A man has fit a bus with an industrial kitchen so he can deliver hot food to Syrian refugees.
Ghafoor Hussain spent PS6,000 on the improvements to the old vehicle after being inspired by a trip to Austria, Slovenia and Croatia, the Metro newspaper reports.
He said: "About four weeks ago, I took a van full of food to the refugees in Austria, Slovenia and Croatia. While I was there, I discovered that the people were mostly only getting cold meals.
"I thought that there must be something we can do, and that's when I came up with the idea to buy a bus and convert it into a travelling kitchen."
A man has set up a Disney-themed dating site.
Founder Dave Tavros set up Mouse Mingle after he was unable to whittle down his potential dates by their love of Disney, The Independent newspaper reports.
He said: "My friends asked about my dating status and why I wasn't trying the online dating sites.
"I told them I had tried them, but there was no way to narrow down the searches to find women in the right distance and age range who loved Disney. That was the inception moment."
