Fresh off the success of his No. 1 reggae album ‘Piece of Paradise’, recording artiste Zagga is back on the charts with ‘White River’.

The five-track EP debuted at No. 2 on the US Reggae Chart, entered the Top 200 across all genres, and was featured by Billboard for New Music Friday. It is another strong showing for the Jamaican reggae artiste, but White River is also one of his more personal projects. Produced by Shakespeare Productions and Amini Music, the EP moves through love, happiness, motivation and reflection. Each track brings something different, but the feel-good sound Zagga is known for remains at the centre of the project.

The title itself comes from a place close to home. White River holds a special place in Zagga’s story. It was part of his upbringing and helped shape some of the experiences that made him who he is today. Naming the EP after it was his way of paying homage to those roots while showing where he is now, both personally and musically.

“White River is a part of my story. It’s a place that helped shape me, and I wanted to bring that feeling into the music. Every song has a different vibe, but they’re all connected to where I’m at in life right now,” Zagga said. The five songs reflect that idea. There are moments for love and enjoyment, but there is also room for motivation and reflection, giving the project a balance that mirrors everyday life.

The early Billboard recognition for the EP puts another international spotlight on the Jamaican artiste and his music. Still, for Zagga, White River comes back to something simple: home, growth and the experiences that brought him this far.
