Halloween nightmare begins with ‘Obsession’ movie night
With just over a week to go before the highly anticipated Scream Halloween 5 Festival, organisers are ramping up the excitement with a special screening of ‘Obsession’ tonight at Ribbiz Ultra Lounge in St Andrew.
Sponsored by Espolòn Tequila, the event gets underway at 8 p.m. and forms part of a series of lead-up activities designed to build anticipation for the annual Halloween showcase, which returns to Mas Camp on Saturday, October 31.
Widely regarded as one of the Caribbean’s premier Halloween events, Scream Halloween has built a reputation for blending entertainment, nightlife and immersive seasonal experiences. Organisers say the movie night will give patrons an early taste of the thrills associated with the festival while providing a social setting for Halloween enthusiasts.
“Scream Halloween is about creating memorable experiences that capture the excitement, creativity, and spirit of Halloween,” said Keanu Laing, co-director of Scream Halloween Festival.
“Our Obsession movie night is another way to bring patrons into the Scream experience and build anticipation for what we have in store on October 31 at Mas Camp,” he added.
The collaboration with Ribbiz Ultra Lounge is expected to add another layer of excitement to this year’s lead-up activities, bringing together film, entertainment and nightlife under one roof.
“We’re excited to welcome Scream Halloween Festival and its patrons to Ribbiz Ultra Lounge for this special screening,” said Brian Chung, co-founder of Ribbiz Ultra Lounge.
“We look forward to providing an enjoyable atmosphere for guests to connect, experience the suspense of Obsession and get into the Halloween spirit ahead of the big festival,” he added.
Beyond the movie night, organisers are offering festivalgoers additional incentives as Halloween approaches. Scream Halloween has partnered with local costume retailers Kitty Designs, Fete Essenz and Party Experience, allowing ticket holders to access exclusive discounts of 30 per cent, 15 per cent and 20 per cent, respectively, when they present proof of purchase for the festival.
