Speid names 24-man Reggae Boyz squad for Nations League

Interim Reggae Boyz head coach Rudolph Speid has unveiled his 24-man squad for Jamaica’s upcoming Concacaf Nations League campaign, with LASK defender Miguel Freckleton handed his first senior call-up.

Jamaica will open their Group B campaign with back-to-back home fixtures against Guatemala and Honduras during the September international window.

The Reggae Boyz will face Guatemala on September 25 before returning to the National Stadium three days later to take on Honduras on September 28. Both matches are scheduled for 7 p.m.

Speid has blended youth and experience in his selection, while three locally based players have earned places in the squad.

Mount Pleasant goalkeeper Shaquan Davis is joined by Cavalier pair Dwayne Allen and Christopher Ainsworth.

Freckleton is the only debutant in the squad and will add another option to Jamaica's defensive unit.

Experienced players including captain and goalkeeper Andre Blake, Damion Lowe, Joel Latibeaudiere, Isaac Hayden, Kasey Palmer and Leon Bailey are also included.

Forwards: Bailey Cadamarteri, Javon East, Rumarn Burrell, Renaldo Cephas, Kaheim Dixon, Andre Brooks, Tyreece Campbell
