Multi-genre vocalist Plas Moon is preparing to unveil her first full reggae single, Obsession, marking an exciting new chapter in her musical journey.

The singer, who has developed a deep appreciation for reggae while living in Jamaica, said the island’s culture and distinctive sound inspired her to explore the genre as an artiste.

“I have always loved reggae, but living in Jamaica has been a strong motivation for me to not just be a listener of the genre, but a giver. The island, the culture and the beat were all inspirations for this song,” she said.

Produced by Terry Vibes, Obsession blends elements of R&B and lovers’ rock reggae. The track pairs a bold rhythm with Plas Moon’s rich vocals and catchy lyrics, creating a romantic song suited for a relaxing drive or a day at the beach. Known for celebrating love and romance through her music, Plas Moon said the song was born from pure vibes rather than a specific experience.

“I am obsessed with being in love. I love love. The beat inspired the vibe, and I just went with it,” she explained.

Obsession follows the release of her album More Love More Life, which has attracted listeners across several international markets. Plas Moon said songs including Fever and A Beauty & a Beast have connected especially well with fans. According to the singer, the album has generated streams in Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Brazil, Jamaica, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico and Turkey. She remains grateful for the emotional responses the project has received, particularly from listeners who say the music is calming and deeply moving.

With Obsession, Plas Moon intends to deepen her connection to Jamaican music and culture.

“This is definitely just the beginning of reggae for Plas Moon. As I submerge myself deeper into Jamaican roots, there will be more releases to come. I am hopeful for the future and my career as a multi-genre vocalist,” she said.
