Dancehall artiste Macka Diamond said she is pleading with her son Jamarleo Hall to make contact with her and his family.

Speaking with THE WEEKEND STAR, the entertainer said she has not heard or seen the 26-year-old in over two years.

“He had disappeared for about a year already and it had taken a toll on me and I got sick, but, when he heard, he came back. He was so compassionate and okay, and it seemed like he wouldn’t leave again. At the time, he was involved in this trading and crypto ting, and he was trying to convince me and my mom to go into it. I am assuming that he may have felt a way because we weren’t really interested,” she said.

Macka Diamond said she had Hall migrate to Canada with her mother when he was an infant. She said there were times when he spoke about their relationship, but she assured him that he was well loved.

“He sounded like he was going through a lot and he used to tell mi a lot about family curses but I told him that he grew up with a family that love and take care of him. I told him he was living in Canada and I couldn’t get that opportunity as a child. We spoke about me giving him to my mother when he was about five years old as I was pursuing music. I was involved in his life and sometimes it was on and off, as sometimes things do happen and I shunned away a bit. But I keep going back,” Macka Diamond said.

The entertainer said, although their relationship was strained at times, she was always present on September 13 (his birthday) and, many times, she spent the rest of the year in Canada with him and her mother.

“My mom is very strict and he always complained about that, but I told him it was the same person that grew me and I am still alive. My mom is a good person and I know he loves her,” Macka Diamond said.

“My mother always made sure I am there on his birthday and I used to keep a charity event to give back stuff in Jamaica. When he is in Canada, we started to do a cookout dinner with his family. Even if I just get off the plane off a show, my mother would tell me to take the next flight to Canada,” she added.

Macka Diamond said she is hoping that this publication will reach her son’s eyes and is keeping her fingers crossed that he will reach out to her, even if it’s only through text messages.

“He is a good kid and he never had any run-ins with the law and we miss him. I know he is a big man now, as he is 26 years old, and he wants to do his own thing. Some of the things are really complicated and it’s just that I am not the type to talk my business,” she said, before reiterating her call for him to make contact.

“I just want my son to reach out to me so we can talk. Even if he doesn’t want to see me, we can talk over the phone. I just want to know if he is okay and in good health. Even if he didn’t bond with me and we didn’t spend as much time as we should together, he bonded with his grandma, so why would he leave her?” she said.
