Living in financial hell

Dear Pastor,

I am going through hell and hope desperately that you can help me.

In March 2020, I took a mortgage from a bank to buy a house. Because the house was in such bad condition, I also took a renovation loan for $3 million to refurbish it. At that time, I was working for a construction company. The company prepared the bill of quantities to carry out the work at the house. The bank sent the $3 million to the company but the company refused when I asked for it to be reversed. When I asked my boss to return the money to the bank, he said the account was in overdraft and he couldn’t pay it back all at once. I told him to pay it back as quickly as possible.

Over the past six years, I have tried desperately to get this man to return the money. The bank will not help nor will the police. A lawyer wants hundreds of thousands of dollars in advance. I am a single mother who desperately needs your advice. The bank sent the loan to collections and it is on my credit report. Can you please advise me?

Your situation is pathetic. Nevertheless, I am sure you understand that you are obligated to repay the loan that you have negotiated with the bank.

It is very sad that no money has been paid on this loan for six years. You have tried to explain that you have made efforts to have the money returned to the bank from the contractor to whom it was sent, but to no avail. The bank, however, did not negotiate the loan with the contractor. Therefore you are still responsible to make payments on this loan.

I hope under God that someone would be able to help you. You need a lawyer who is sympathetic to your cause and even work for you without charging you a very heavy price. Be assured of my sincere prayers.
